Myanmar National Airlines Flight UB-103, which was carrying 82 passengers, was headed from Yangon to Mandalay when the pilot, Captain Myat Moe Aug, acknowledge there was a problem with the landing gear, the news sites report.

In a statement to CNN, the airline says Aung “followed emergency procedures and did the fuel burn out to reduce the landing weight.” He then brought the jet down on its rear wheels, lowering the nose carefully onto the runway where it skidded to a halt.
“The pilot did a great job,” Win Khant, the country’s permanent secretary of transportation and telecommunication ministry, told Reuters.
The Pilot immediate action made no passengers were injured, the news sites reported.
Despite the successful landing, the airline issued a statement to their Facebook page apologizing for the incident.
“Myanmar National Airlines would like to apologize for all on boarded passengers, their relatives and friends for any inconveniences and anxieties caused,” the translated statement read. “Myanmar National Airlines do appreciate all passengers coordinated during flight emergency.”
