Google released the latest security patch for Android smartphones in November 2019. The most awaited Pixel first-generation smartphones will get an update in December 2019, Android users eagerly waiting for the news. Google announced the first generation Pixel smartphones Pixel and Pixel XL will get final update and it would also stop support for the devices.

Google released the latest security patch for Android smartphones in November 2019. However, the update may solve a critical problem for camera and display screen performance improvements to the recently released Pixel4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones. Including latest pixel smartphones it also made new improvements for older Pixel smartphones which possibly giving solutions to Google Assistant Hotword and speaker audio quality and also other things. Android users expected that it might release the new update on first-generation Pixel and Pixel XL, but it missed the latest update in November.

According to news sources, the company clarified confusion among Android users for supporting devices. It would follow the coming three years there is no worry for support for devices. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will get security updates till 2020, the same thing follows for Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will get security updates till 2021 and Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL owners will get updates till 2022.

It clearly stated ” After December Google will stop giving any software and security updates for original Pixel Phones. But Android users missed the latest update in November 2019.

It wasn’t a sudden decision made by the company, Google already mentioned its support page that the company would give Android updates for at least 3 years from 2016 because first Pixel smartphones are available in Google store. From 2016 to 2019 almost reached three years, so the company may stop give updates on Pixel smartphones after 2019.
